Walter Matthews who worked for the company for over 30 years as a carpenter and joiner and then proceeded to Contracts Manager in which he took over as Managing Director in 1987. He was joined by his wife Eileen as Director/ secretary and his two sons Gary and Jeremy.

 

The Company is now run by Gary and Jeremy with them both still working on the tools and running the business in these challenging times with fewer tradesmen being trained to work in construction.

 

The Family business has carried on the traditional building company with a small team of staff and a reliable subcontractors to enable the company to offer over 57 years of business.

Whether it is replacing a broken roof slate, fixing a chimney, or putting in a pane of glass, no job is to small for them to tackle and will be carried out with the expertise that is exercised on much bigger jobs.  We build  large and small extensions to private and commercial properties and can offer a planning service right through to application for planning permission on behalf of their clients.
